The Department is committed to providing high-quality engineering education that integrates strong scientific foundations with practical application while keeping pace with rapid scientific and technological advancements across the diverse fields of civil engineering. These fields include structural and materials engineering, construction engineering and project management, transportation and traffic engineering, geotechnical engineering, water and water resources engineering, environmental engineering, and surveying engineering. This breadth of expertise enables our students to develop strong engineering thinking, creativity, innovation, and problem-solving skills, preparing them to compete successfully and respond effectively to the evolving needs of the labor market

We also believe that the Department’s mission extends well beyond education. It encompasses applied scientific research, innovation, community engagement, and the development of effective partnerships with public and private sectors and professional organizations. Through these efforts, we seek to provide innovative engineering solutions to societal challenges and strengthen the contribution of engineering knowledge to sustainable development

Our faculty members, students, administrative staff, and technical personnel work together as one team to foster an academic environment that encourages excellence, creativity, and innovation. This environment is founded on responsibility, integrity, professionalism, and a strong sense of belonging, while supporting the continuous development of the Department’s academic programs and the quality of its educational and research outcomes
