The Academic Advising Unit provides guidance and support to students to help them address any academic issues or personal challenges that may impede their academic performance, and assists students in developing their capabilities and potentials to improve their academic or professional achievements.

Students who receive academic advising are able to learn much more than just the courses they need to study to complete their major.
This includes providing advice on a variety of topics related to students’ choices of specialization and courses, determining whether these decisions are appropriate in light of students' professional goals, future educational objectives, etc.

Due to the importance of providing academic advising, an academic advisor is assigned to each student upon admission, and each member of the faculty supervises between 15-20 students: this is the ratio of academic advisor to students. Academic advisors also assist students with their psychological, social, or personal issues, referring them to the concerned person or unit so that they can receive necessary guidance and direction with complete confidence.
