Word of Head of Departement
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
and peace and blessings be upon the noblest of creation and the most trustworthy messengers, and God’s mercy to all humankind upon our Lord, Muhammad, and upon his family and their companions.
The Department of Biochemistry is one of the most important basic medical departments in the College of Medicine and health colleges (Dental, Pharmacy, Applied Medical Sciences, and Nursing), where teaching biochemistry curricula in the College of Medicine and health colleges is among the most important scientific pillars on which medical knowledge is built.
Biochemistry studies the precise chemical reactions within the human body and how they are carried out and regulated, as well as how all these reactions integrate and harmonize to maintain bodily function, organ function, energy production, and the conversion of some materials into reserves that the body benefits from.
Biochemistry is taught through theoretical and practical lessons for all curricula in the College of Medicine and health colleges, which equips students with the ability to build future medical knowledge in other departments and specialties of medicine. And we ask Allah Almighty to guide us to provide all scientific and professional benefit to our students.
