Among more than thirty universities that include medical colleges in the Kingdom, King Saud University, the young university, ranks fourth among all universities in terms of owning a university hospital dedicated to it, coinciding with the launch with the start of specialized studies in the health colleges of the university,
And witnessed on Sunday, corresponding to 13 / 3 / 1433H, the official inauguration of the University Hospital under the kind patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mishal bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, former Governor of the Region, after its expansion in its departments and development in its services, where it integrates with providing service all scientific departments in health colleges through its specialized cadres and various laboratories.
The University Hospital currently includes 25 specialist clinics, an emergency department, and internal and surgical wards for men and women, operating and recovery rooms, and intensive care rooms, with a capacity of 62 beds. It also contains a central integrated laboratory and a radiology diagnostic center, as well as an education and training center, and several supporting services. The hospital also includes outpatient clinics in general medicine, surgery, ENT, ophthalmology, urology, orthopedics, cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology, family and community medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, dentistry, anesthesia, optometry clinic, audiology clinic, in addition to providing through its clinics all that patients need from diagnostic and therapeutic services, in addition to many distinctive services in this field.
The hospital performed a number of surgeries in the specialties of general surgery, laparoscopy, ENT, and urology under the supervision of Saudi professors from the College of Medicine as a step forward in the hospital's specialized departments

Patient Rights
Obtaining suitable healthcare.
2. Obtaining an appropriate diagnosis and treatment for the illness and pain from a qualified medical team for that purpose.
3. Accept or reject any treatment, with notification of any resulting complications to your health status, and you may be required to sign a form regarding this.
4. Do not give you any treatment plan or medications unless medically justified.
5 . Visit the consultant or one of the specialized doctors from his medical team within 24 hours of the patient's anesthesia and daily.
6. Do not perform any intervention or examination unless you are given the information in a comprehensible language and have signed (Consent Form) regarding it.
7. Obtaining the necessary information in a language you understand about the medical procedure or process that will be performed for educational purposes at conferences or workshops.
Informing you of your medical diagnosis, treatment plan, expected outcome, side effects, potential complications, and follow-up plan by the physician.
9. That you shall not be subjected to medical research or studies unless you consent to it.
10. That your medical and personal data will be handled with confidentiality and privacy, except for those you authorize to view it or when requested by legal authorities.
11. Providing health education specific to your condition to ensure stability of your condition after admission to the hospital.
12. Formatting and clarification of post-discharge medical follow-up procedures.
13. The ability to express opinions and discuss the healthcare services provided to you by the hospital.
Providing you with the documents related to your illness (reports, notifications, and leaves) as needed.
15. The right to meet with a Patient Relations Representative or Administrative Officer to ask questions and file complaints at any time and to know the procedures for doing so.
16. Discharge from the hospital occurs after the consultant physician’s recommendations, detailing the necessary medications, upcoming follow-up appointment, and specific instructions for home care if needed.
17. Obtaining the necessary information regarding the implementation of the cessation of resuscitative care according to the hospital’s laws and regulations.
Patient Responsibilities
1- Provide complete and accurate personal data when opening the file or enrolling.
2- Provide complete and accurate medical information to the treating medical team about the patient’s condition.
3- Understanding that Najran University Hospital is an educational institution for male and female medical students and health colleges and institutes, and not resisting clinical examinations by them.
4- Implementation of national systems and general Islamic regulations related to legal and religious conduct and appearance.
5- Following the systems and regulations of Najran University Hospital which are :
- No smoking is permitted anywhere within the hospital.
- Respecting the privacy of other patients by not loitering between rooms and hospital departments.
- Adherence to the hospital's visiting hours and regulations. Visitors will not be permitted to enter outside of visiting hours.
- Commitment to the rights of visitors and staff in the hospital and respecting them.
- Commitment to adhering to the systems of the Medical Department, Unit, or Clinic where healthcare services are provided.
6- Attend on time or notify in advance if unable to attend.
7- Following the treatment plan agreed upon by the treating medical team.
8- Be careful when handling the possessions of other patients, staff, and hospital property to avoid damage.
9- Compliance with leaving the hospital upon the treating physician’s discharge order
