The college was established in 1414 AH (1993/1994 CE) as the Intermediate College of Education for Girls, under the Ministry of Education, and initially offered a two-year diploma. In 1421 AH (2000/2001 CE), it was renamed the College of Education for Female Teachers, offering a bachelor's degree, and was then affiliated with King Khalid University. In 1430 AH (2009/2010 CE), the College of Education was restructured to include five departments:

  • Curriculum and Instruction
  • Special Education
  • Early Childhood Education
  • Education and Psychology
  • Home Economics

Currently, the college offers bachelor's degrees in Early Childhood Education and Psychology, as well as master's degrees in Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Technology, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, and Educational Administration. The college continues to develop its plans and programs, God willing, in line with labor market needs and community development requirements.
