Establish the Strategic Office at Najran University on December 16, 2025, as an organizational unit directly affiliated with the President of the University. It will be a vital entity that leads the planning and implementation and follow-up system at the university level, ensuring integration between the strategic vision and institutional performance.
The Office assumes a fundamental role in following up on decisions made by the Council of Deans, translating them into actionable initiatives and projects within an organized governance framework that enhances performance efficiency and decision-making effectiveness. The Office’s strategic work is based on six key pillars including: Strategic Planning, Initiative Management, Institutional Performance Measurement, Project Implementation Monitoring, Change Management and Strategic Communication, and Decision Support, all of which ensure coordination and integration between various entities within the University.
The Office undertakes a number of essential tasks, most notably analyzing data and indicators and future trends, assessing risks and opportunities at the internal and external levels, and submitting evidence-based recommendations to senior management to contribute to improving the overall performance of the University and ensuring effective responses to challenges and changes. The Office also works to enhance the University’s analytical and forecasting capabilities and support strategic decision-making through an advanced data analytics system.The Strategic Office will also contribute to facilitating effective communication between the University’s colleges and deans, as well as stakeholders, which enhances transparency and encourages institutional participation in achieving the University’s vision and strategic mission. The Office will exercise its work independently from the executive bodies with which it is coordinately linked, based on a clear policy and procedures guide that will be developed subsequently.The establishment of the Strategic Office coincided with the initiative of University Leadership as a pivotal step to enhance the governance and institutional planning system, and to unify efforts towards achieving the future goals of Najran University. The office relies on a specialized organizational structure comprising units for strategic planning, institutional performance, strategic change and communication, decision-making support, sustainable development, with clear definitions of roles and responsibilities. The office also works on developing a modern institutional business model that updates procedures and operations according to best local and international practices, which enhances operational efficiency, raises performance quality, and ensures the sustainability of institutional transformation in the university.

Managing and monitoring the achievement of strategic goals for Najran University, and providing support to all academic and administrative entities within the university in preparing, implementing, and following up on their strategic plans according to an integrated electronic system that contributes to achieving the university’s competitive advantage.
- Developing, reviewing, and updating the University's strategic plan, including formulating objectives and initiatives, and periodically updating them to ensure alignment with internal and external changes.
- Monitoring the implementation of the strategic plan and measuring institutional performance through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that enable gap identification and enhance execution efficiency.
- Coordinating and unifying efforts among vice-rectorates, deanships, colleges, and administrative units to ensure integration of planning, implementation, and follow-up through a unified organizational channel.
- Conducting analyses and studies and providing data to decision-makers by delivering quantitative and qualitative reports that support decision-making and improve operational efficiency.
- Managing institutional change processes to ensure effective adoption of new projects and to build an organizational culture that supports transformation and process improvement.
- Leading internal and external strategic communication in a manner that reflects the University's vision and mission and clarifies transformation pathways for beneficiaries and stakeholders.
- Promoting continuous innovation by proposing developmental programs and projects that enhance the University's competitiveness in education, research, and the organizational environment.
- Developing and activating local and international strategic partnerships to support initiatives and projects.
- Integrating sustainability principles into planning and operations to enhance the University's environmental, social, and economic impact, and to meet national and international standards.
