Overview
The Department of Islamic Studies also offers a single program for postgraduate studies (Master’s) in the field of Modern and its Sciences, which was established in 1433/ 1434 Hijri.
And the Sharia Department offers another postgraduate program, which is a (Master's) degree program in the field of Islamic Jurisprudence, established in 1436/ 1437 AH.
The college also offers courses in Islamic Culture to undergraduate and postgraduate students of all colleges within the University.In addition to participating in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students in the Faculty of Science and Humanities, specializing in Islamic Studies.And it requires a Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Law to complete (150) study hours, distributed over (8) eight levels, where the student studies (6) six hours of university requirements, (68) sixty-eight study hours of college requirements, and (76) seventy-six hours of specialization requirements in the field of Islamic Law.
And it requires a Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies to complete (141) study hours, which are distributed over (8) eight levels, where the student studies (8) study modules required by the university and (36) study modules required by the college and (97) study modules required for the specialization in Islamic Studies.
The Master’s Program in Islamic Jurisprudence requires the completion of 42 credit hours, divided into four academic levels, followed by a supplementary research component worth 3 credit hours, which is allocated to the fifth chapter with a total of 45 hours.And the Master's Program in Contemporary and its Sciences requires completing (27) study hours, divided into two academic semesters, then a thesis weighing (6) hours, for a total of (33) hours.
Admission Requirements for the College:
Students applying to join the college are subject to the same admission criteria as students applying to the University, which are:The student will only be accepted after taking into account their GPA achieved according to the weighted ratio which is 60% from secondary education and 40% from the general ability test.
* To have a high school diploma or its equivalent from within the Kingdom or abroad.
* He must not have completed more than five years since obtaining his secondary certificate or an equivalent.
* To be of good conduct and behavior.
* To be a medical professional.
* to obtain approval from his supervisor if he works in any governmental or private entity.
* Must not have been dismissed from King Saud University or any other university academically or administratively. And if it is found after the student’s acceptance that he had previously been dismissed for disciplinary or academic reasons, his admission will be null and void.
*The student who meets the required conditions must submit the documents specified by the Admissions and Registration Office of the University.
* A student shall not be enrolled in another degree program at the same university or at any other university, or has previously obtained it.
* The acceptance of the student who is late in completing their application procedures within the specified deadlines by the university without a valid excuse from the Admissions Office will be cancelled.
And the study in the college proceeds according to the academic levels system (eight levels), and each academic level lasts for one semester, and the student progresses in his study and succeeds in the courses of the academic levels, so he moves from his level to the next level if he successfully passes all the courses of that level, according to the provisions for transferring from one level to another as determined by the university. The student graduates after completing the graduation requirements successfully according to the academic plan, provided that his cumulative average is no less than acceptable (2 out of 5).Descriptive data about the College:
