The Research and Engineering Center seeks to link scientific research outputs with local needs, and to partner with the private sector to diagnose challenges facing Saudi Arabia and its regional surroundings. The center also aims to provide solutions based on scientific foundations in order to achieve sustainable development and realize aspirations towards knowledge investment. Furthermore, the center seeks to encourage innovation, support researchers, and provide them with the necessary resources to achieve their scientific and academic goals. In addition, the center develops research plans and studies submitted projects within the scope of the center’s specialization and monitors its implementation. The Research and Engineering Center also plays a central role with other centers in the university in achieving the university's vision and mission, through realizing community partnership objectives and raising the university's standing in global rankings through research contributions and addressing challenges we face at the local and regional levels.
