Objectives
The administration undertakes internal audit activities by exercising the authorities granted to it in accordance with the Unified Regulations for Internal Audit Units, in order to achieve the following objectives:
- Protect public funds and assets, prevent and detect fraud and errors as they occur.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of financial data and accounting records.
- Ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of administrative and financial operations, which lead to optimal use of available resources.
- Achieve compliance with systems, instructions, policies, and plans binding on the entity, to achieve its goals effectively and regularly.
- Maintain the integrity of internal control systems and their effectiveness.
