Overview of the Administration
Based on the directives of the Deputy Dean of the University and pursuant to Resolution No. 17/1 dated 1430/01/21H issued by the President of the University, which includes administrative competencies in educational units and executive departments within the University, the Scholarship Management was approved.
The first article of the Scholarship and Training Regulations for University Personnel states: “The purpose of scholarship and training is to qualify university personnel scientifically to obtain a degree, or develop their academic, administrative, and technical skills through training as required by the interests of the University.”
Since its founding in 1427H, building an academic cadre has been one of the University’s main goals.
In this regard, King Abdullah University of Saudi Arabia has prioritized sending its personnel on scholarships and established the Scholarship and International Cooperation Management to be a bridge between the University and the Cultural Attachés abroad, and to oversee all university scholars both domestically and internationally.
The Scholarship and International Cooperation Management at King Abdullah University of Saudi Arabia is one of the vital departments that plays a pivotal role in enhancing the academic and research capabilities of the University, through sending faculty members and university personnel to prestigious institutions around the world for development and training, as well as establishing international cooperation relationships with universities and global research centers.
The Management aims to achieve the University’s vision of building qualified human resources that contribute effectively to achieving the University's strategic goals, in addition to supporting academic and research programs and providing an environment conducive to academic excellence.
The Management seeks to provide comprehensive and integrated services to scholars and trainees, starting from selecting suitable competencies for scholarship and training, up to following their academic progress and ensuring their return after acquiring the necessary knowledge and skills.
Furthermore, the Management aims to expand the University’s international academic network and promote cultural and scientific exchange, which enriches the academic experience at King Abdullah University of Saudi Arabia.
