The certification provides specific guidance on the knowledge and skills necessary for an individual to become proficient in computer basics, their software, networks, and the internet. Consequently, IC3 offers a globally recognized benchmark for essential computing and internet skills, and obtaining the certificate signifies acquiring fundamental skills and enhancing capabilities in using computers and the internet, as well as developing skills to improve professional efficiency and the ability to perform online transactions quickly and accurately.

Certification Requirements:

Obtaining the certification requires passing three tests distributed across three main topics: Computer Basics, Core Applications, and Internet Applications. The Computer Basics test assesses users’ knowledge of computer equipment and hardware and fundamental operating system skills. The Core Applications test measures the efficiency of users in office applications such as word processing, presentations, and spreadsheets. The Internet Applications test assesses essential skills in using networks, email, the internet, and web browsing software.

  • Computer Basics Test: (50) minutes, (50) questions
  • Core Applications Test: (50) minutes, (45) questions
  • Internet Applications Test: (50) minutes, (50) questions

Arabic and English, and other languages

The IC3 International Computer and Internet Certificate was accredited by the Fund for the Development of Human Resources (“Mudaf”) in May 2020, and the certificate is financially supported, with the maximum compensation amount for the certificate as follows:

  • Compensation for exam costs: 1,300 Saudi Riyal
  • Compensation for training costs: 1,700 Saudi Riyal
